The composting with Biolan’s Large Compoter 500 Termo is simple and clean: just put the organic waste in the compost bin, add the Biolan filling material and wait for it to be ready. You can recycle most of the organic waste in the kitchen and turn it into nutrient-rich material. The patented ventilation system ensures efficient air circulation, minimizing the need to mix frequently and speed up the composting process. The channel that provides air at the center of the compost mass helps to ensure a faster composting process.

Choice of the position:
Place the compost bin on a solid, flat surface, where the water is not collected. Ensure direct contact with the soil for the absorption of infiltration fluid.
Filling of the compostera:
Empty the container of organic waste in the compost bin. If biodegradable bags are used, empty the waste from the bag and put it in the compost bin separately.
Cover the waste with the Biolan filling material, using about 1/3 – 1/2 of the waste volume. Add more if the waste is particularly moist.
Add waste several times a week, especially during cold seasons, to maintain the composting process.
Adjusting the air inlet and outlet:
Use the built-in thermometer to monitor the temperature.
Adjust the air inlet valve to 100 if the temperature of the compost bin is higher than that of the outside air.
During hot seasons, keep the air inlet valve completely open, while during cold seasons keep it almost closed.
Mixing of the compost:
Use the compost mixer to mix the last 20-30 cm of the compost layer. Mixing is not necessary after each addition of waste, but it is useful if carried out regularly.
Empty the Compound:
Empty the compostera when it is almost full. In winter, empty small amounts at a time; in summer, you can empty up to half of the content.
Open the emptying door and use a spade to remove compost. Clean the edges of the emptying door and the liquid separation plate.
